Gamelish Reading Card Games are a perfect way to practice letters, vowels, and letter combinations. They can be used at school in groups of four or at home. Students will love practicing reading with these enjoyable foursome card games!
The ABC Game includes 30 foursomes, four cards for each letter and the combinations ch, sh, ph, th. Each letter has four different pictures to demonstrate the sound of the letter, mostly the beginning sound.
For example:
Aa – apple, accordion, alligator, ambulance
Pp – panda, penguin, ping-pong, pizza
Xx – xylophone, fox, box, x-ray
The ABC Game enhances basic vocabulary, along with letter recognition, it can be played as a “go fish” game or as a memory game.

About the Series / Levels
Gamelish Reading Card Games are perfect for learning and practicing basic English reading rules. They are suitable for beginners and those needing additional help overcoming challenges at any age.
The series consists of six games, from ABC through the most common reading rules in English. Get to know the consonants, the vowels and the various letter combinations.
Each foursome has a title sound accompanied by an illustration of a known word which contains the sound (a – apple, all – ball, ph – phone). The illustration is always the first word, to help the players remember the correct pronunciation.
In addition to ABC’s, there are six levels of games, each focusing on a particular set of reading rules:
Level 1:
Vowels: a, e, i, o, u
Combinations: ch, ph, sh, th
Level 2:
Long Vowel Combinations: a-e, e-e, i-e, o-e, u-e, ea, ee, ai, ay
Level 3:
Basic English Rules: alk, all, ce, ci, ck, e, y
Vowel Combinations: oo, ou, ow
Level 4:
Silent letters: gh, igh, kn, t, b, h
Combinations: tion, sion, qu, ind
Level 5:
Silent letters: gh, igh, kn, t, b, h
Combinations: tion, sion, qu, ind
Level 6:
Rhyming words with: at, ed, ip, og, un, ate, ite, ole, lue, ane
