English with Crosswords Levels 1 – ELI Photocopiable Books

English with Crosswords is great for elementary school and junior high teachers and English rooms since these are all topics covered in school and each unit and even each crossword can be used as a stand-alone activity.

Each topic has one page where all the new vocabulary words are listed and illustrated. That is followed by five different crosswords reviewing that vocabulary. The first puzzle reviews the first 10 words, the second the next 10 words, the third and fourth alternately use all 20 words, and the fifth reviews all the words. Gradually and enjoyably, the students memorize the spelling of each word.
