Reading Rocks!

Reading Rocks! is a unique reading program which emphasizes phonics and reading fluency. It’s designed to provide supplementary lessons to the basic reading curriculum, and is especially recommended for struggling learners.

It’s meant for students who already know the ABC and the basic ABC sounds (with short vowels) – this strengthens their knowledge in that area and builds on it, via short reading comprehension units that recycle vocabulary and specific phonemes.

The units are short in order to give students a feeling of accomplishment. The book addresses phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills development. There are phonics exercises, story words, phrases, stories, make a picture, and timed oral readings.

Suitable for tutoring, small groups, and large classes. It can be used as a supplement to any reading program.
