This Literature Curriculum is intended for American 8th graders (Israeli based native speakers 10th graders). It features a large assortment of short stories, essays, and poems with comprehensive vocabulary support. Every lesson highlights various literary elements and includes a review of literary ideas.

The book also includes an exciting drama section featuring a specially written play.

Some of the literary concepts covered:

• Plot, setting, characterization, and theme
• Internal vs. external conflicts
• Similes, metaphors, and idioms
• Point of view and imagery
• Poetic devices such as rhythm, rhyme, and onomatopoeia
