The Boost! Writing series is an exciting set of books that provides meaningful skills practice.
These attractive, full color books cover topics that are sure to catch the students’ interest (e.g., the circus, cool critters, studying abroad, life on Mars). These books teach a variety of writing strategies, such as making a plan, writing descriptive sentences, writing about a personal experience, and using details and examples to support your ideas.
Each book contains 12 units and comes with a free audio CD for both reading and listening. Besides focusing on writing, each book also integrates the four skills by combining writing and reading, writing and listening, etc. They are great for classroom use as well as for tutoring / small group instruction.

Boost! Writing 3 is appropriate for a strong 8th grader, an average 9th grader, or a weak 10th-11th grader.
Boost! Writing 4 is appropriate for a strong 9th grader, an average 10th grader.
They are also suitable for native speakers, two or three grades lower than the grade recommendations listed above.
You can use these books in conjunction with the other books in the Boost! series: Reading, Listening, and Grammar.
