Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before accessing, using, or obtaining any materials, products, or services available on our website. By accessing the A.E.L. Publications website (“Our Website”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”). If you do not accept all of these Terms, you may not use Our Website. In these terms, “we”, “us”, “our”, or “A.E.L.” refers to A.E.L. Publications, “Our Products” refers to the items sold on Our Website, and “you” or “your” refers to you as the user of Our Website.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms, for any reason at any time, by posting a new version on Our Website. Your use of Our Website will be subject to the Terms in effect at the time of your use. Please review these Terms periodically for changes.
1. Your Personal Details
If you create an account on Our Website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and other account details and for all activities that occur under your account.
If you create an account on Our Website and / or place an order through Our Website, A.E.L. reserves the right to store your personal details (name, address, phone number, e-mail address) and use that information to contact you periodically. A.E.L. will never share your personal details with a third party website. If you do not wish to be contacted by A.E.L., you may send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting to unsubscribe from our e-mail list and / or from regular mail / phone contact at any time.
3. Prices and Ordering
All prices are in NIS (New Israeli Shekel) and include VAT. All orders for products are subject to availability. All orders will be concluded in the English language. Credit card payment will be conducted via a secure server. Orders placed on Our Website will only be concluded upon the completion of the credit card charge.
Only customers over the age of eighteen may place orders on Our Website. A.E.L. reserves the right to accept or reject orders, to refuse service, and / or terminate accounts according to our reasonable discretion.
4. Teacher Discounts and Free Books
Our aim is to provide affordable schoolbooks to students and teachers alike, and we take that into account when calculating our prices. Because we guarantee our prices to be substantially lower than that of any other publisher, we do not offer additional discounts for teachers buying a single copy of a book.
For all books published by A.E.L.: Teachers are eligible for a free or discounted book when a class order is placed, depending on the number of copies ordered. They can also receive a free answer key. If each student purchases his / her copy individually, teachers must send us an official school booklist and provide any additional information that we require in order to receive a free or discounted book and answer key.
For all other items: Teachers are eligible for a discounted book when a class order is placed, depending on the number of copies ordered. Teacher’s books / answer keys are not free. If each student purchases his / her copy individually, teachers are not eligible for a discounted book.
Teachers who have already purchased books and then become eligible for free or discounted copies will be reimbursed for their previous purchase(s).
5. Shipping Times
A.E.L. will make every effort to package and ship your order within three business days, excluding unforeseen circumstances. Please allow extra days for holidays, weekends, and busy season (August-October).
Regular and registered shipping take an average of seven to fourteen business days from date of shipment. E-post take an average of five business days from date of shipment. Door-to-door shipping via HFD normally takes four to six business days from day of shipment, while door-to-door shipping via Tapuz normally takes three to five business days from day of shipment. However, A.E.L. cannot guarantee actual time of arrival since that is dependent on the post office / delivery company.
If placing an order that includes tracking (registered mail under two kilograms, regular mail over two kilograms, e-Post, or door-to-door shipping), you must provide a cell phone number that can receive text messages. Notifications regarding your package may be sent by the post office / e-Post via text message.
If you place an order with regular or registered shipping, you are responsible for picking up your order from the post office in a timely manner (within three days from receiving your first notification of delivery by the post office). If you place an order with e-Post, you are responsible for picking up your order from the pick-up location in a timely manner (within three days from receiving your first notification of delivery by the delivery company).
In the event that your small regular package (under two kilograms) has not arrived within fifteen business days, we will reship the package via regular mail at our expense, excluding circumstances which are your responsibility, e.g., you received notification from the post office and didn’t go to pick up the package on time, or you provided us with the wrong shipping address.
In the event that your registered package, large regular package (over two kilograms), or e-Post package has not arrived within seven business days, and you have not received a notification of delivery, you are responsible for calling us so that we can track the shipment before it is sent back to us.
If you received notification of delivery and did not pick up your package from the post office in a timely manner, or received no notification of delivery for a registered or large regular package and did not contact us after seven business days, or gave us an incorrect address for delivery, or did not receive the package for any other reason that was within your control, and the package is returned to us by the post office, you will be charged a redelivery fee according to the current postal rates.
6. Shipping Fees
A.E.L. only ships to addresses within the State of Israel.
For all materials published by A.E.L. other than primary and graded readers: Shipping is via regular mail (Israel post) with no tracking number (unless the order is over two kilograms). For orders under 250 NIS, shipping is 7 NIS. For orders 250 NIS or more, shipping is free. For orders under two kilograms, if you would like your package tracked you may choose the registered shipping / e-Post option at a cost of 15 NIS.
For all other items or for mixed orders (A.E.L. items as well as other items): Shipping is via registered mail (Israel post) with a tracking number. For orders under 250 NIS, registered shipping / e-Post is 15 NIS. For orders above 250 NIS, registered shipping / e-Post is free.
Door-to-door shipping via HFD for packages under 10 kilograms is available to most locations (excluding remote locations such as Eilat and Ramat Hagolan, according to HFD’s terms and conditions) for an additional fee of 35 shekels.
Door-to-door shipping via Tapuz for packages of up to 20 kilograms is available to all locations at an additional fee of 45 shekels.
7. Order Changes, Cancellations, and Returns
Orders may be changed or cancelled at no fee to the customer so long as we have not yet shipped them out. In the event that an order has already shipped out, you may return part or all of your order within 30 (thirty) days for a full refund to your credit card less any shipping fees, with the exclusion of the following items: special item orders (items that we do not carry on a regular basis and which we ordered specially for you), items no longer in new, unused condition, photocopiables, opened games and discs, and closed games under 50 NIS. Postage / shipping costs must be paid by the sender and will not be refunded by A.E.L. Returns not well wrapped in bubble wrap that are damaged by the post office / delivery service which you used to return your order will be only partially refunded, depending on the level of damage to each individual item. A.E.L. takes no responsibility for returns lost in the mail by the post office, and strongly recommends that returns be shipped with a tracking number, e.g., via registered mail.
8. Damaged or Defective Items
A.E.L. does its utmost to send out only items in perfect condition (unless slightly damaged items were specifically and specially ordered) and to ensure full customer satisfaction. If you receive a damaged or defective item, excluding items slightly damaged by post office handling, please contact us immediately at 02-622-1640 or at email@example.com and we will happily exchange or replace it as quickly as possible.
A.E.L. assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the contents of Our Website or Our Products, or for the results obtained from the use of this information. In no event shall AEL be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or any damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the use of Our Website, the contents of our Website, or Our Products. All the contents of Our Website and Our Products are provided “as is”, with no guarantee of completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or of the results obtained from the use of these contents, and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to warranties of performance, merchantability and language knowledge.
