Pirate Jack Looks for Treasure – Macmillan Explorers Phonics Reader (Level 2)

Pirate Jack finds a map in a bottle. He goes to look for treasure with a seagull and a boy called Roy. They follow the map and Pirate Jack digs a hole, but he doesn’t find the treasure. Then Roy sees something in the hole.

The phonic focus includes vowel-vowel pairs oy (e.g. boy), and oi (e.g. point), ow (e.g. down), ou (e.g. shout), oo (e.g. look), ea (e.g. head), and consonant blend wh (e.g. wheel).
