About the Series / Levels
Ladybird Readers is a series of traditional tales, modern stories, and non-fiction. It runs from Level 0 (Beginners) through Level 6.
The Beginner level (Level 0) helps children learn and practice their first words in English by:
- introducing everyday phrases such as hello and thank you
- focusing on vocabulary that children can use daily
- supporting understanding with simple text and repetition
- including speaking and listening activities to develop confidence
The books at Beginner level are short (approximately 50-100 words) with 1-2 sentences per page and bright and colorful pictures.
